Author: Aaron von Frank

Aaron is an avid forager who works closely with Topsoil Restaurant (and Michelin-recommended, James Beard-nominated Chef Adam Cooke) to bring wild-foraged plants and fungi to local plates. Aaron is a certified wild mushroom forager licensed via Mushroom Mountain. He also has nearly two decades of hands-on and teaching experience doing no-till organic gardening and market gardening. Additionally, he is the creator of the Impractical Guide book series, and author of the Impractical Guide to Raising Ducks: How to joyously produce the world's most expensive eggs from the world's most adorable animals, available in paperback and ebook on Amazon. In addition to their work on TyrantFarms.com, Aaron and his wife, Susan (aka "The Tyrant"), are co-founders of GrowJourney.com, which provides free educational resources for home gardeners and market gardeners interested in no-till organic food production. Aaron is a graduate of Furman University, and served on the board of the Diversified Agriculture Committee for the South Carolina Farm Bureau for five years.
